In women, metabolic rate rose due to the increase in the breakdown of carbohydrates.

Researchers estimated that over a year, more than 17,000 calories were saved due to the increase in water consumption. That equaled to the study participants being about 5 lbs lighter throughout the year. In actuality, almost half of the calories burned from drinking water was due to the body’s attempt to heat the ingested water.

Are you trying to lose weight? Did you know that pills, clenses, and body wrap are not as effective in losing weight as drinking water. That’s right. The easiest and best way to lose weight comes right out of your kitchen faucet.

One well-known diet secret is to drink an 8-ounce glass of water before eating. Doing this fills you up, cutting back on your portion size. What is not well-known is that this little trick will help keep it off for a year maybe longer.

Why is drinking water to lose weight so effective? First off, it keeps you full longer. It also prevents you from drinking soda or other high calorie drinks.
